It wasn't really enjoyable. It was just a storytelling game with a platformer game thrown in. The environments are the same but changes slightly in the next chapter. I wanted to keep on going but I just can't. In the 4th chapter, around after the sequenced jumps, there is a platform where you have to jump onto another platform and through the beam of light. The hitbox is really bigger than you think it would be. It's not when you touch the light when you die Is when you also touch the things holding the light in its place. The character also feels floaty. It doesn't feel fluid or nice to control. What makes the character feel like that there's nothing wrong is the animation for the sprite.
Overall: just below average. Mediocre story, repetitive environment, generic platformer.
If you decide to make another game like this, I suggest that the environment should come into the story. The way it feels. Maybe have an illustration on the wall about what they're talking about.
And surprise people out of no where with a strobe of light before the illustration appears. It might give that horror vibe. Also for the song, make sure it loops constantly so that it sound like a really long song that doesn't stop the mood.
